What are block prints or relief prints?
They begin with my drawings, Then I transfer the sketches to blocks of linoleum. I use special tools to carve the designs, creating positive and negative spaces in the blocks. Once the designs are complete I roll them with ink and then press them either by hand or in a small press on fabric or paper.
The flags and prints are original prints (I do not create digital reproductions, with the exception of the stickers).
I am beginning to use some screen printing and wood blocks in my work as well, but use of these mediums is a work in progress. Because of the hand made and hand printed nature of my work, there are subtle differences in each print which add to the charm and uniqueness of the art.
My prints are created mostly as open edition runs. I continue to create flags and prints from blocks as long as they are able to create beautiful prints.
When will I receive my flags/prints?
If I have it in stock, they will ship within a few days of an order. If flags or prints are made-to-order it will be approximately 2-3 weeks for printing, drying and packaging before they are ready to ship.
Do you accept custom orders?
I have had the honor of creating many custom orders for special events or to celebrate individuals. I love to collaborate with customers and create them. I accept them on a case by case basis depending on my printing schedule and time frame. There is a custom printing fee that is variable depending on the size and length of the flag set requested. Please contact me if you would like to discuss a custom order.
Do you accept returns?
In general, all sales are final. It is my hope that you are happy with your order once you receive it. I try to share accurate photographs and sizes and descriptions so it is clear as to what you will receive when you order from arubymoon.
If for some reason you are unsatisfied please contact me and we will do our best to work it out. It is my goal that you are completely satisfied with their purchase.
